This smoothie has a good mix of protein, healthy fats, and fibre to keep you feeling fuller for longer.
With the addition of kefir or a probiotic yoghurt, you’ll also be helping to diversify your gut microbiome.

If you happen to feel like getting some extra greens, try adding a handful of baby spinach leaves as well. You’ll hardly notice they’re there!

Ingredients

  • 1 frozen banana
  • 1 cup frozen mixed berries
  • 200 ml plain kefir (or use plain probiotic yoghurt)
  • 200 ml unsweetened soy milk (or cow's milk)
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 1 tsp vanilla essence
  • 1 tbsp chia seeds
  • 2 tbsp rolled oats
  • extra berries (for topping (optional))

Method

  1. Allow the banana to defrost on the bench for 10 minutes before peeling and adding into a blender.
  2. Add the remaining ingredients and blitz until well combined.
  3. Pour into two glasses and top with extra berries if you would like.
